A spacious cottage awaits you in the Tack Room, ideal for a family of 3. With high beamed ceiling and large character windows, this is a light and airy, centrally heated cottage with bags of charm. Cuddle up on the comfy sofas by the electric cast-iron stove on an autumn morning with a steaming cup of cocoa and enjoy the view from the calm and tranquility of your vantage point.

In the summer, spring open the large windows or enjoy the sunny aspect on the patio area outside and cottage green. There’s plenty of space and light in the beautiful, airy king size bedroom, with iron bedstead and lots of room for a travel cot/toddler bed as required. Look up and spot the open galleried loft bedroom which can be set up as a twin or a king double. Suitable for ages 10+ due to access.

This cottage has a full height fridge/ freezer with 156l/53l capacity.

In your cottage

Each of our award-winning cottages has been designed to make it a home away from home for your family. Cook up a storm in one of our modern kitchens with dishwasher, fan oven and hob, fridge or fridge freezer and food blender, and then enjoy that meal in your cottage or on the table and chairs outside. Essentials such as tea towels, oven gloves, washing up liquid etc are all looked after for you.

For the little ones

If you’re bringing very young children with you then there’s a few extra bits we’re able to supply to make sure your stay with us is as stress free as possible. If you need a highchair, baby monitor, steam steriliser, baby bath or toddler bed, please do let us know before you set off! We do offer 100 x 70cm travel cots, bed guards and a changing mat, as well as children’s crockery and cutlery. If you stay in a two storey cottage, you’ll also find a built-in stair gate at the top of the stairs.

Onsite Family Fun

If you’re looking for family fun, you’ve come to the right place! The only decision is where to start… the indoor swimming pool, the soft play barn, the playroom, tennis courts, the children’s play area and climbing frame, our fort, the zip wire, animal feeding…. the list is almost endless! You can of course do as much or as little as you want to, but you’ll never be short of ideas!

Exploring Cornwall

We’re lucky to be set in the centre of Cornwall – an easy and quick drive to almost every attraction and beach you’d want to go to, whilst there’s also so much to do on the doorstep! We are surrounded by 100’s of acres of woodland which are great for creating your own adventures. We also have beautiful walking trails straight from your cottage door. Some families have so much fun on site that they rarely leave! But if you’re looking to explore some of Cornwall, then Glynn Barton is the perfect place for you.

A kids’ paradise!

We’d rate the holiday at Glynn Barton Cottages a 5. Our 3.5 YO daughter would say a gazillion 🥰 She absolutely LOVED it! It is a kids paradise… done with style. And such a lovely location. Everything was perfect with the cottage, so comfortable and clean, and have everything you needed, and more. And the activities available on site are outstanding. Loved the animal feeding and campfire experiences in particular. There is so much to do! For adults as well as children. We didn’t get through it all. Need to stay for longer next time. Pippa and James are brilliant with the kids (and adults!) You can tell how much they love what they do. We will be back for sure!! Thanks for a wonderful week and great memories.

Everything thought of

Amazing. Beautiful accommodation with everything thought of, fantastic responsive hosts who help with anything you need and everything your kids could want all on your doorstep. We went for a week and didn’t leave once…it was blissful being able to just walk out the front door and know our toddler was safe and having the time of her life. We’ll definitely be coming back. Absolutely fantastic.

Perfect for our children under 4!

We couldn’t recommend Glynn Barton highly enough! With two children under 4 years old, we’re always looking for child friendly places to stay with plenty of facilities onsite and nearby attractions. Glynn Barton offers everything a family would need. We’ve now visited twice and had a wonderful week both times. The cottages are lovely and equipped with everything. The swimming pool is fantastic and all the play equipment is just ideal.

Our next trip is already booked!

A little slice of heaven! We have been coming to these same cottages for a number of years & it never fails to delight as Pippa & James are constantly evolving and updating the cottages and surroundings, whilst always focused on improving our experience. The freedom of the breathtaking views, the delightful animal feeding! The fun-filled maze offers many games, the community experience of mixing with others, playing on the fort, marshmallows around the fire, swimming & hot tubbing….I could go on! My children are 9 & 14 and never tire of the pull of Glynn Barton and neither do we. Our next trip is already booked!

Could not be better for kids

Second time we have been and you honestly cannot get a better holiday for toddlers in the UK Everything is thought of, and provided. The animal feeding hosted by the owners, who are parents themselves, could not be better catered to children The grounds are gorgeous, with so much on site to do. Also just 40 mins from popular beaches like Padstow. This year we went during COVID and felt safe at all times. The pool had to be booked and each time we had it to ourselves. Honestly just perfect. Can’t wait for next year, such a treat!

They didn’t want to leave

We really enjoyed our holiday at Glynn Barton, the boys loved it and they didn’t want to leave! I think they especially liked the social side of the holiday, playing with the other children and making new friends. There were lots of opportunities for them to do this with the way the cottages were set out onto the garden square and the morning animal feeding.
