Time to stretch those legs

Walking

We are lucky to be located in the heart of Cornwall close to Bodmin Moor. A moorland that still maintains its wildness and rugged beauty- A great way to get back to nature. It also means you get a wonderful choice of walks on both the North and South coasts, and all within easy reach of Glynn Barton Cottages.

South West Coast Path

North or South?

A wonderful way to explore our beaches and coves is walking the South West Coast Path. It’s easy to find and the route is very obvious. Plus if youโ€™re a member of the National Trust there are various car parks dotted along the coast which are free to use. It suits all leg lengths and it’s a great way to blow away a few cobwebs!

Bodmin Moor

Watch out for the cows

On the other end of the scale is Bodmin moor which still maintains its wild and rugged ways. The paths are less well trodden and it can be easy to get lost. But the most popular and slightly easier to navigate is the Copper Trail with Brown Willy and Rough Tor standing out amongst the hills. A walk up here will definitely give you that โ€œIโ€™m on top of the worldโ€ feeling.
