Cornwall is packed with family-friendly attractions, and Glynn Barton is close to some of the very best. We’ve spent many a day out and about with our kids to compile a list of our favourite must visit spots for fun filled days:
- The Eden Project
We love taking a stroll through the iconic biomes, enjoying a little rainforest humidity and Mediterranean heat on *ahem* greyer Cornish days. The fantastic team at the Eden Project put on so much throughout the year, there’s always something new to discover whether it’s the magical woodland play in the summer or the ice rink during the winter. To celebrate the release of Paddington in Peru, you can also meet Paddington this half term, race you! - Lanhydrock House and Gardens
Explore the grand Victorian estate and its stunning gardens together. We love the gardens especially and there are some great cycling trails for everyone to have a go at! - Camel Creek Adventure Park
With its high octane rides and cute animal encounters this adventure park really does have something to keep everyone happy! - Bodmin Jail
Discover the history of the old atmospheric jail at Bodmin, the team bring it to life through spooky tale telling and year round exhibits. - Newquay Zoo
See exotic animals up close and let the kids run wild in the adventure play areas at this lovely zoo, the playful penguins are a fave! - Blue Reef Aquarium
The Blue Reef Aquarium is the perfect place to go wildlife spotting if the sea is out of bounds. There are some fantastic things to sea from Cornwall’s coastline and beyond. - Lost Gardens of Heligan
Heligan really is a place to get utterly lost in! The gardens with their exotic plants and hidden statues is truly magical and your kids won’t want to leave the brand new ginormous play area. See you on the HUGE bouncing pillows! - Restormel Castle
We love the drama of Restormel Castle. The views are fantastic (you’re welcome mums and dads) and it’s a great place to play knights. The castle itself is closed for the winter but the grounds are really good fun to explore. - Adrenaline Quarry
An aquapark, zip wire, go karting and giant swing are all there for you to get stuck into at Adrenaline Quarry, it’s a real high octane day out for the adventurous amongst you! Adrenaline Quarry is open at weekends so maybe a great place to start or finish your holiday with us!
We think we’ve covered it all – thrilling rides, cute animal encounters, a bit of castle storming, some real magic and an actual superstar bear all within really easy reach of us here at Glynn Barton. We’d love to know what’s on your Cornish bucket list.
And if you haven’t got your next holiday booked yet…what are you waiting for!?
