The legendary Haywood Cider Farm Downhill soapbox race returns on Sunday 21st June! Expect elite soapbox racing, live music from Smug Jars and St Breward Silver Band, plus great food and drink with our kitchen and two bars open all afternoon.

-Bars open from 1pm
-Best Turned Out judging at 2pm
-Racing starts around 2:30pm

Widely recognised as a pop-up academy for future F1 drivers, The Downhill is a fantastic day out packed with laughs, live music, brilliant racing, and plenty of food and drink. £10 per person – kids go free!

Step into Brick History at Bodmin Jail

From now until 8th September 2026, Bodmin Jail is hosting Brick History – a fun and interactive LEGO exhibition showcasing major moments from world history in incredible brick-built scenes.

Kids will love spotting hidden details throughout the giant LEGO displays, making it a brilliant rainy-day option or family afternoon out during your stay.

Just a short drive away, Priory Park in Bodmin is hosting a whole range of free family-friendly events throughout the summer holidays, including:
