Your Questions, Answered: Our Cottages

Planning a Cottage stay at Glynn Barton is an exciting step toward a relaxing countryside escape – and it’s natural to have a few questions before you book or arrive. From what’s included in the Cottages, to check-in details and on-site activities, this guide covers the most frequently asked questions so you can feel fully prepared for your stay!

What’s included in the cottages? (linen, towels, kitchen equipment etc)

All of our cottages have everything you need for your stay at Glynn Barton! Each Bedroom includes sheets, pillowcases & duvet covers, mattress protectors, bath & hand towels and hairdryer. In the kitchen, you’ll find everything you need to cook up a storm – from plates, bowls, mugs, sauce pans, chopping boards, cutlery, a coffee machine, kettle and toaster, and everything in between! Check out our full list of what’s included during your stay here.

Are cots, highchairs and stairgates provided?

All our Cottages, Glamps and facilities have all been designed with your little ones’ happiness in mind – everything from built-in stair gates, plastic cutlery and crockery, bed guards, cots, high-chairs, and toddler beds are provided, and if there’s anything else you think you might need during your stay – just ask before arriving. Find out more here.

Do the cottages have private outdoor space?

Each cottage has it’s own outdoor dining table and chairs. However, not all of the cottages here have their own private outdoor space. Farmhouse, our 4-bedroom cottage that sleeps 8-10, has it’s own large private garden, outdoor dining area and hot tub. All our cottages share access to all out outdoor facilities with 100’s of acres of grounds and woodland to roam right from your cottage doorstep!

Is there parking next to each cottage?

Each cottage at Glynn Barton has convenient parking close by, but not directly next to each cottage. We aim to make unloading and access as easy as possible, with parking areas located either directly next to or just a short, level walk from your cottage.

If you have specific accessibility needs, we’re always happy to help you choose the most suitable cottage. You can find out more in our accessibility statement here.

What dates are available?

You can view all of our availability for each cottage and our glamps here – simply select the cottage and dates/length of stay you’re interested in, and you will be able to see what’s available!

How many nights is the minimum stay?

There is a minimum of 3 nights’ stay across all of our properties, perfect for a fun-filled weekend or a mid-week break. This can vary depending on the property type, and the time of year. If you have any questions regarding your preferred length of stay – get in touch and we’ll be happy to help.

Is there flexibility on check-in days (especially in peak season)?

Yes – outside of peak season (outside of the school holidays) we can often offer some flexibility on check-in days, so it’s always worth asking. During school holidays, however, arrivals are typically fixed due to high demand and our busy changeover schedule. Our arrival days are Monday, Tuesday, Friday & Saturday. Our standard check-in time is from 4pm, and we kindly ask guests not to arrive earlier unless this has been arranged in advance, as access to the site won’t be available. Check-out is 10am for all cottages and glamping accommodation.

How do I book and what’s the payment schedule?

To book your stay, head over to glynnbarton.co.uk/availability and follow the online booking steps. Alternatively, you can contact us direct on 01208 821104. For bookings made more than 8 weeks before your arrival date, a 25% deposit is required to secure your booking, with the remaining balance due 8 weeks before your arrival date. Any bookings made within eight weeks of the start of the holiday require full payment at the time of booking.

What time is check-in and check-out?

Our standard check-in time is from 4pm, and we kindly ask guests not to arrive earlier unless this has been arranged in advance, as access to the site won’t be available. Check-out is 10am for all cottages and glamping accommodation.

Q.Is there WiFi and is it reliable?

Yes, Glynn Barton offers WiFi (fibre broadband) across our glamping site and all cottages. Please note that while we aim to provide a high-speed service to all our guests, we are in a rural area which can affect performance, and encourage reasonable use from all guests.

Q.Is there heating for colder months?

Yes – all of the cottages at Glynn Barton are centrally heated, so they’re comfortable year-round. We also have gas cast-iron burners in most cottages with electric stoves in Grooms & Tack Room. Our glamping tents all have wood log burners for an extra bit of cosiness.

So! Hopefully this helps answer any of the curiosities you may have before booking or staying with us – as always, if you have any other questions, please do get in touch by calling us on 01208 821104 or email stay@glynnbarton.co.uk
